Meet the Team

Alun is responsible for shaping and delivering an ambitious Cardiff and Vale College international strategy. This includes growing the number of international students choosing to study at CAVC and expanding our involvement in skills training programmes overseas.

Trish leads the international team in facilitating all aspects of the international student journey at Cardiff and Vale College. Trish is responsible for all operational activities including admissions, UKVI Compliance and the coordination of the English Academy.

Ben leads on international business development, alongside supporting all areas of the international department. Ben works with international partners to develop strategic partnerships and student recruitment opportunities.  

Itzel is developing partnerships and student recruitment opportunities across LATAC. Supporting educational agencies in the region to promote CAVC to prospective students. Itzel will be working in-country across Latin America during 2024/25.

Kunbo supports existing partnerships, including our three CAVC China international schools in Shanghai, Changzhou and Pinghu, and fosters new partnerships and opportunities across China. He is responsible for the general promotion of the CAVC brand and its value proposition in China, in addition to undertaking important market analysis and liaising with key stakeholders in Government and education circles.

Jamie is our first point of contact for students, offering pastoral assistance and coordination of all aspects of student support for international students. Jamie facilitates our social programme and supports the promotion of the international student experience.

Mandy oversees student housing for both international and domestic students at Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC). Her duties encompass coordinating placements, addressing issues, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining records. Additionally, Mandy plays a crucial role in providing support for student safeguarding.

Shafika oversees international student admissions at Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC). Guiding international applicants through the process, ensuring they feel supported and welcomed. Shafika provides advice and guidance to international applicants and stakeholders and plays a key role in promoting CAVC programmes and services.
